Free Science Talks in Glasgow

Two public lectures are happening in Glasgow soon than might be of interest to local fans.

Dr Erin MacDonald, Star Trek science consultant, is presenting ‘Spacetime in Star Trek.’ on Sunday 13th July at 19:00 in the Boyd Orr Building, University of Glasgow.

Prof Carole Mundell, Director of Science at ESA, will be talking on ‘From Earth to the Fabric of SpaceTime’ on Wednesday 16th July at 19:30 in the Clyde Auditorium, SEC, Glasgow. This talk will be accompanied by an exhibition of astrophysics demonstrations.

Both lectures are part of the 24th International Conference on General Relativity and Gravitation & the 16th Amaldi Conference on Gravitational Waves. Entry is free but tickets must be booked in advance through the conference website.
